The human experience can be quite complex, but each of us possesses strengths and attributes that can help us build resilience and navigate our journeys. As a therapist, I am dedicated to helping you discover these qualities, gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you, and equip you with the knowledge and skills that can assist you in overcoming challenges more readily.
With several years of experience in various roles within the mental health industry, I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University. My professional background includes working within college counseling settings and in private practice, where I have supported adults of differing ages facing a variety of presenting concerns. I have a particular interest in helping adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and ADHD. In my practice, I employ an integrative approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Psychoeducation, tailored to each individual's needs.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and the therapeutic relationship is integral to its success. I strive to create a calm, nonjudgmental, and warm atmosphere where you can freely express yourself and feel seen and heard. The therapeutic relationship that develops is one of safety and understanding, where I will stand beside you on your path to healing.
If you're ready to take the next step in your journey toward wellness, I invite you to reach out for a consultation. Together, we can explore how therapy can support you in addressing your emotions and achieving your goals.
